Rain, sun, and storm grilling
Fall just arrived officially last Saturday with the fall equinox, and the very next day was the most quintessential example of a fall day. Here it is in four mini paintings celebrating my favorite time of year.

Fall equinox
Today is the fall equinox, when we all experience an equal 12 hours of daylight and 12 hours of night. I’ve been able to feel the shift this week. Even though it’s gonna get dark (and fast) in the northern hemisphere, fall is my favorite time of year.

There are quite a few things I’ve learned since moving, and the vast shifts in light that one experiences over the year is one of them. The light, not the weather or temperature, is the biggest difference between the seasons in…

Fall, my favorite
The warm days and cool nights. The changing colors. Long walks with jackets on. The regularity and satisfaction of being immersed in work and school. All of these things make fall seem especially full.
