My son Sam loves jokes, and pranks, and basically anything gross or disgusting. It sends him into hysterics. This fact was the inspiration for today’s drawing.

My playbook for solo parenting
My wife is away for a week so I’m solo-parenting. It’s also a long holiday weekend so the kids are off school for a bit more than normal. This means the difficulty level is increased slightly and I need to have my Dad playbook in good shape. Luckily, I have some plays that never fail.

Some things are unconditional, even at 5 o’clock
My kids are completely zombified when they watch TV. Times and lengths can vary, but they pretty regularly get some show time around 5pm when we are prepping dinner. This is good for a bit but then turns mega-frustrating when we call them to the table to eat and they don’t respond. There could be…
