I’ve had a few different coffees from Traffic Coffee now (thanks to my buddy Scott), and it’s fair to say they’re unlike any other coffee I’ve tried (I’m looking at you, watermelon). They’re also some of my favorites. This one is the Lộc Rừng Grape Drink, and you can find the roaster’s product page here.
This one is undeniably like tart grape juice. Mellow bitterness. Zero roasted or chocolate notes, but it’s coffee and it’s delicious.
This coffee is co-fermented with grapes, so the flavor gets built in during processing rather than added afterward. Traffic compares the result to those grape-shaped sour candies many of us grew up on, and says it’s milder than their lychee version of the same idea. They also say it’s not for everyone.
It is, however, definitely for me. 😋
