A phone, a kitten, and happiness for everyone, a birthday list update

My previous update on birthday lists was from my son who’s birthday is still six months away. This one is for my daughter who is writing her list a mere month out. Much more sensible right? Let’s see what we got.

Questions to prepare for starting a professional coaching partnership

Here are some questions (and my answers) for preparing to start working with a professional coach. These questions would come in handy after making the choice to work with a specific person (see a list of questions on how to make that choice).

Every moment, every day, you can decorate it in your own way

This lyric has been coming back and lifting me up recently. It’s from Elzhi and Georgia Anne Muldrow’s Every Moment from the outstanding album Zhigeist (one of my top albums of March).

It’s been over 100 days since we started our renovation and there is finally a glimmer of light

It’s actually been 103 days since we started to be precise. I’ve gone around the roller coaster of emotions so many times now I’m bored of it. Or numb. Or maybe I’ve actually learned through the process how to manage what I can control and what I can’t? Regardless, we are in the final stretch…

Plants can grow metal, perhaps we have something to learn from them?

How to make a Minecraft iron golem Lego plate and a warning to future parents

I thought we might escape it, the Minecraft obsession that seems to hit nearly every child. I even worked for Minecraft/Mojang for over a year and it didn’t seem to be enough to bring on the affliction. However, like a certain global pandemic, it was only a matter of time before it hit our household.
