Notes from the trail 10.01 (Sun Never Sets Edition)

IMG 0604

My running game has kinda been on autopilot ever since my month of running 150 miles and the marathon earlier this year. However, at my work we had the 9th edition of our “Sun Never Sets” 5k relay, so you know I had to lace up the trainers for that.

The relay is called “Sun Never Sets” because for 24 hours straight there is someone from my work that is running, starting from 00:00 in New Zealand all the way to 23:59 in Hawaii (or wherever the end of the clock is). The company has employees in every time zone across the world, and we all are remote, so this is as close as we can get to a group run. It’s a good effort, I think. There is even a public website where you can see a lot of the folks that participated and where they were. This is the 4th or 5th time I think I’ve run in the relay (I’ve been working with Automattic for 6 years as of this month). I’m looking forward to more!
