“We want this full record to feel like you’re floating on a trip — it’s taking you on a journey, and you can determine what each song reminds you of,” the group shared of the album. “It’s a story of everything we listen to, capturing nostalgia for Virginia, the East Coast and overseas.”
Butcher Brown on Letters From The Atlantic
Here are my favorite albums from March 2025.
Panda Bear – Sinister Grift
I love how much this sounds like 2025 Beach Boys, with the happy melodies and earnest (and sometimes dark) undercurrents. So addictive. The perfect soundtrack to spring.
Deep Sea Diver – Billboard Heart
The last album was my favorite from 2020, and this one doesn’t disappoint. An amazingly great rock album.
Darkside – Nothing
Dark and moody electronic music with so much soul.
My Morning Jacket – is
I like weird My Morning Jacket, but I also like how they just made this album of 10 awesome songs I can play at any time. Legendary band.
Butcher Brown – Letters From The Atlantic
I’ve had Butcher Brown on my lists here a couple of times (2024 and 2023), and I really like their latest. Much more than jazz, but a jazz album it is, no doubt.
Other albums that found their way to me (and stayed) this month:
- Curren$y & Harry Fraud – Never Catch Us
- 6ix – Homebody
- Boof – Night Blooming Cereus
- Charley Crockett – Lonesome Drifter
- Zion I Kings – Live Free
I love discovering new music and hope sharing my finds inspires you to check out something different (and support the artists you love). Happy listening. ✌️
