I explored another part of the 22-mile long American Tobacco Trail today. It’s straight, flat, and seemingly never ending. Some might call it boring, and there are times where I think that too, but other times it cultivates a zone that’s as close to “meditative running” as I’ve ever experienced.

Notes from the trail 12.06
I switched it up this week and tried a different loop for my long run this week: Lake Johnson and Lake Raleigh, both of which are connected via an urban greenway. It was perfect running weather this week, sunny and cold, so the base layers, beanie, and gloves were definitely equipped.

Thank you and I’m sorry
“Thank you” and “I’m sorry” are both complete sentences. Often, those two words are all that is needed. If I could add one more, it would be “Please.”

Sleep aid or torture device?
I can’t sleep when the TV is on. I can sometimes fall asleep to music. But give me some good ‘old white noise, and I’m certain to be asleep in a few minutes.
