    Sabbatical recap

Well, my three-month sabbatical is over, and I’m back at work as of Monday. I was off work for 96 days. It was the longest I’ve been off work since my last parental leave in 2017 (about the same in terms of time), but for a good chunk of it the kids were in school…

    150 miles

One of my goals for May was to switch up my typical running flow and run shorter distances more frequently. I ended up running 5 miles a day for a total of 150 miles for the month, and my daughter was with me for the last one tonight.

    Notes from the trail 04.17

I wanted to run 12 miles today. I didn’t manage to get that far, I was just…tired feeling. Then I read this interesting post about energy and running, and that got me thinking.
