What I learned last week (#174): roadtrip edition

A weekly selection of what I was reading, drawing, writing, and doing.

The big event of the past week is a two day road trip my wife and I took to pick up a stained glass window. Sounds random but it is something we had custom made by a UK artist for our house renovation. It was kind of like a date of sorts as we left the kids with grandma and were able to just chill out, talk, and drive. I also drew some while we drove.

I was lucky to meet with my friend and colleague Chai last week and we talked about careers and making the decision to do something else which I related to these three questions.

Strangely, before I was able to write and share more consistently, I had to let go of my fear of consistency.

I learned more about the importance of pausing as part of my reading Radical Acceptance this month.

This list of 100+ tools for an easy life is an invitation to jump down the rabbit hole.

I came across some great tips this week for work and like like five questions for managing conflict and the four Os of meeting prep.

I just saw this video of a guy clogging to “Here Comes the Hotstepper” and it will make you smile, guaranteed.

Finally, do you know where you are going? Me neither, but we can get there by following the next tracks.

Last but not least, check out what I’m up to now.
