I finally got the new bike out today for a decent enough distance (8.5 miles) on both road and trail. Short but sweet. I was able to see a new bit of my running trail I hadn’t seen previously (the Strathkelvin trail).
The gearing of a road bike (mine is a hybrid but with road gearing) is totally new to me, and it was great to be able to actually get the bike into high gear and get a little speed going. As someone who has really only ridden mountain bikes, I can see the appeal, and the benefit, of less drag on skinnier tires.
Ready for more.
