“Above the clouds” is the best Gang Starr song ever. I dare you to name a better one. I’ve been listening to some playlists while training for the ATT Marathon (coming up this weekend!) and this track came on. It was levitating. I looked for a video and I don’t think one was ever made…

Drum lessons
One of my goals for my sabbatical is to learn how to play the drums. I’ve always wanted to play, just never actually made the effort/time/space for it. This is my chance! I’m a month in now and so glad I’m making the effort.

One of these things first
One of my favorite songs for years has been Nick Drake’s “One of these things first”. I first heard it on the soundtrack to movie The Garden State, as did many it seems, a film remembered for it’s music more than anything else.
