Running in Istanbul

IMG 1943

Travel running might be my favorite thing about traveling. Seeing a place waking up at 6:30am while weaving through unknown areas is not for everyone, I guess (my wife especially would not be keen), but I love it.

I was recently in Istanbul for work with some running-minded colleagues, and we got several exploratory runs in. Also, I didn’t run with tunes, but my soundtrack for this trip was İlhan ErÅŸahin’s Istanbul Sessions: Mahalle album (so good). I just missed seeing them live by one week.

Istanbul, you are pretty vibrant. I hope to see you again sometime.

What a coincidence! I’m actually sitting at my gate in Istanbul Airport waiting for my flight to Tunis when I saw your post in my inbox 😲
