If we want the things we love to stay around, we have to support them.
Funding for public media is under threat.
The Administration sent Congress a rescissions package that would claw back $1.1 billion in public media funding already approved by law. If enacted, this action would instantly destabilize local public radio and TV stations nationwide.
This isn’t a distant threat. Congress could act very quickly. Send a message now urging your Members of Congress to vote against rescinding public media funding.
This morning, I took 2 minutes to email my local senate and congress representatives to let them know they should not cut funding. Will they listen? Maybe not, but it cost me literally nothing to click a few links, and it can’t hurt, so why not? I even received a response from my senator a few hours later, so at least it was heard by someone (or some machine).

KEXP, NPR, and many other forms of public media are important to me, and I want them to stick around.
