I love travel running and got some of that in this past week during our visit to (northern) Atlanta. Running during the holidays is essential for me, not only to balance out the gluttony but also because of the cool weather and empty trails.
I did my Thanksgiving runs in a place called Big Creek Greenway which felt like a perfect secluded wetlands area amongst the urban sprawl in Atlanta. Lots of deer, brand new boardwalks over the wetlands, and little artsy details that made it feel loved. I’m thankful I got to experience it and have a renewed appreciation for how important urban greenways are for everyone’s sanity.
