Notes from the trail 11.23

IMG 8024

I had my longest single run of the year today (11 miles), but this shot was from yesterday’s 6.5-miler. One of the best (and strangest) things about it getting a bit cooler out in the mornings is that my runs seem to be much more solitary. I don’t know why more people aren’t out, but I’ll take it.

It’s a bit surprising that 11 miles was my longest run, considering how much I’ve been running. I haven’t had a half or full marathon in my sights to push me further, though that’s on my mind as 2025 nears. Here is another shot from today. Although I can’t avoid busier roads entirely on my normal long-run route, I try to keep to empty ones like this as much as possible.

  1. I always need an event to get my miles up on a single run, as it takes me so long to run the miles!
