What will this thing play?

retro bowl

This seems to be the question with any device that my kids pick up these days, be it their Chromebook from school, their watch, or anything containing what might look like a screen.

Anything in excess tends to be bad, and certainly, video games are designed to be addictive, so my wife and I do our best to temper the amount of screen time the kids get. We really do. However, I must say that the ways in which my kids try to maximize their game time is an endless source of mildly guilt-ridden joy.

The latest example is my son playing a browser-based Tecmo Bowl rip off called Retro Bowl that is super fun (I may or may not have tried it) or my daughter hustling Adopt Me trades on the side while preparing her PowerPoint for her English class.

Caught ya!!

They are very creative in how they go about playing games when not authorized to play games. Semi-hidden browser tabs. Windows hidden behind windows. Volume down to zero.

Sometimes, I have to just sit back and admire their effort.
