HAAAALO!

This week marked Sam’s first-time playing Halo. It felt like a milestone—of course it was!

Whatever you think about the past few releases, Halo is my most-played franchise of all time. IMO, it doesn’t get any better than Halo’s “golden triangle” of shoot, grenade, and melee, which set the blueprint for everything after it.

We started with the Master Chief Collection and jumped into Halo 2 (custom multiplayer), moved on to Halo Reach (firefight), then did Halo 3 (co-op campaign, Tsavo Highway), and ended with Halo: CE. Rockets on Prisoner, of course.

It’s so fun to have this in the rotation with him now. It’s not endangering Fortnite as his most-played game of the moment (I can only stand to play no-build on that damn game), but it’s cool to see him actually enjoy Dad’s favorite.

Now I just gotta make sure he doesn’t surpass me. This is just the tip of the iceberg.
