June always seems to be full of new music discoveries. Maybe it’s the longer and warmer days and the resulting mood shifts, but things seem to open up as summer gets underway. Here are my favorite albums (new and old) from June 2023.

TRIBEZ. – Redbird

I dunno where these cats came from, but they are my current summer jam kings, just like FKJ.

Soul Supreme – Poetic Justice

A super impressive album of jazz, funk, and hip-hop instrumentals, another summer jam winner.

STR4TA – STR4TASFEAR

I featured STR4TA before, and this newer album was released earlier in the year, but I missed it. So good!

Statik Selektah – Round Trip

This is like being in 90’s hip-hop heaven right here.

NAVVI – V

Perfect late-night chill-out album.
