Scotland is so-so for humans but heaven on earth for dogs.
The weather is cold and wet all the time. Perfect for animals with a thick coat of fur.
There are streams, fields, trails, and mud. Lots of mud. And very little pavement. Perfect for animals who like to roam.
There are lots of squirrels and deer to chase and no scary predator-type animals. Perfect for animals who need their exercise.
Dogs have it all here and are basically at the top of the food chain, save for humans.
But there are very humans here.
And the few who live in Scotland love dogs.
Could it get any better?
