A weekly selection of what I was reading, drawing, writing, and doing.
Last week was the first full week of May and it started rainy and cold and continued from there, with a surprisingly nice Saturday morning sprinkled in for good measure (photo above).
On that note, Drawing Links and the recent At the Grocery Store post was the inspiration for my recent Saturday morning walk cartoon post.
I needed some reminding that nature has the greatest imagination of all.
The new Black Star album came out on the podcast platform Luminary. Why did it come out there? Because that is what Black Star wants. It’s good.
I mentioned Pusha T’s latest was one of my favorite albums of April and this interview offers some interesting insight into the creative process between the albums two producers: Kanye and Pharrell. That trinity seemed to work.

I learned some strategies for escalating or de-escalating a conflict. Those strategies were particularly important as I’ve been trying to avoid escalating our conflict over our house reno that seems to plague so many people.
I published my amplify and reduce goals for May and in line with that, tried to work on being ok with not being perfect.
